NEW -The City of Pickering is pleased to offer its residents the opportunity to purchase new blue and green bins along with lids for your blue bins. Blue boxes, blue box lids, curbside green bin and kitchen containers are now available for purchase at the front desk of the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex (1867 Valley Farm Road).
Exchanges for cracked and/or broken blue and green bins can be swapped out free of charge only through the Region of Durham at their Waste Management Centre located at 4600 Garrard Road North in Whitby or annually at the City of Pickering’s spring compost giveaway. - 23.5-gallon Blue Box - $11.00 each
- Blue Box lid made from recycled tires - $13.00 each
- Kitchen container for food waste - $4.00 each
- Curbside green bin - $19.00 each
*all sales are subject to a 3 percent charge to cover processing/transaction fees.
