So, my husband and I have purchased a lot of Hokas, and they are great shoes, with ONE MAJOR problem: they wear out rather quickly. This pair has a hole now (inner lining near the heel, exposing plastic), 4 months after purchase. They were not worn every day, maybe every other day for an hour or two. They should not wear out this quickly, but in my experience, all Hokas do wear out this quickly. The sole material also compresses pretty fast, making them much less cushy in just a few months. Overall, I still like these shoes because they are really comfortable, but I'm finding the value lacking. For $100-$150+, a shoe should last *at least* 6-8 months.

I wanted to love these shoes, when I first put them on they felt so cushy and supportive but then I started walking and I realized they were incredibly narrow and pinching my toes. I found the wider version of this shoe but what you get is a shoe that is about 1/4 inch longer but there's no real change in width and the section of the shoe that holds the laces will dig into the top of your foot because they are too long. They also have great arch support but if you have high arches and your ankles turn outward (underpronate or supinate) they might make the problem worse. The sole of this shoe is so comfortable and infact, my sister who has narrow feet and plantar fasciitis tried them on and ended up ordering her own pair and she loves them. She no longer has pain in her feet and she has found she can stand for 8 hours at work and not have any issues any longer. My two stars are for the width otherwise it's a great shoe.

This is the 6th pair of Hoka’s I have purchased. I buy them because I’m a dog walker - mostly on pavement - and they have incredible cushion.However...they wear out extremely fast. The tread especially.I bought these in September and both sides of the shoe are split already. $140 shoes should not split and tear in 4 months.I will be seeking another brand.

Bondi 6 is better looking, more cushion and tongue seems softer. While the shoe is more comfortable it still runs narrow and the toe box could be wider.

My foot doctor recommended this shoe when I went in for plantar faciitus. In fact, he had a pair on. I tried on this one, and 2 others he also recommended. No comparison. This shoe felt much better. Like walking on a cloud. I replaced the interior foot pad with the arch support that he recommended. The combo has helped totally reduce the PF discomfort. But . . . not stylish. Also adds about a foot to your height because of the thick soles, which for most people is a positive.

Stylish colorful sneaker for everyday use, work and walking. I got these for my husband and he enjoys them very much! The blue/yellow color pair really pop in a pleasant nice way. No sore feet after a long day's work, no rubbing around the back of the ankle. This is a Neutral shoe and has amazing arch support overall. As a doctor he spends a lot of time on his feet and absolutely deserves to wear the best! Thanks again Zappos for offering such great selection! Check out his running pose-lol

I really liked the shoe. I ordered it in a 10 2E. The toe box is a little narrow. Made the outside toes on my left foot sore. Had to send them back.

When Hoka finally came out with a wider EE option in the Bondi 5 I bought 2 pair over a training season preparing for the 2017 Chicago marathon. Coming from using Asics Gel Nimbus size 12, 2E width for many seasons. At 6’ 2” 186lbs I liked the extra cushion the Bondi 5 provided but even the with the extra width the toe box was tight around my toes. The Bondi 6 is noticeably wider than the previous generation and I am so very happy with the 6’s fit, comfort, colors and there is more color options in the wider width.

I finally found my Hoka. I love the running tech they're pulling off in their shoes and SOOO wish that i could wear the Rincon. As with almost all HOKA shoes, they're narrow. Let me be clear. I have a medium width foot by almost all the various kinds of shoes i've worn over the last 25 years. That includes running shoes, dress shoes, hiking boots, you name it. Some brands just go narrow for some reason like Adidas back in the day. Here's the short of my experience after running my first 10K in them todayPROS:1. Super super soft. This shoe is perfect for those long days where you need to give your feet a break from racing or track intervals. These are going into my rotation as "meat and potatoes" shoes.2. Stable. I thought with this massive sole, they'd be a bit unwieldy and potentially cause an injury. Nope, they're super stable. I found myself not worry about the sole height after a while. This is not true for my race shoes like the Nike Peg Turbo 2 i do track work in. Note that i do not pronate so take this with a grain of salt if you do. 3. Light upper, not the tongue. I thought that since there was so much meat to the heel cup, that i'd hate the upper. Not so, the upper is light and doesn't injure my foot when i run. The tongue on the other hand is not awesome. I'll get to that in the Cons.4. Solid tread. I was worried about the exposed foam, no worries. See my pic after 10K. I've seen reviews after 100mi and although there is wear, they're still solid.CONS:1. The tongue. It's got this stiff sticker right at the top of the tongue that hits the laces. I lace high and tight to keep the shoes solid so your milage may vary here. It slides around a bit as well. By the end of my run my right shoe tongue was down and to the left a bit. Didn't bother me but, its not ideal. 2. Weight. I could definitely tell i had a heavier shoe on. This shoe is about comfort on your long days, not a racing flat for sure. 3. Colorway. I got the blue/black/orange laces one which is the only colorway i could deal with and i'm not that picky. Hoka needs some help with colorways for sure.pBottom line. If you're looking to add a solid "meat and potatoes" shoe to your rotation with a super comfortable ride, this baby may be your Hoka too.

Love/hate relationship. I walk a lot but don’t run. The cushioning and support is amazing but the front/mid toe area is somewhat narrow. The tongue is too thick and padded making snug lacing difficult and creating hot spots on top of foot. Otherwise, theyre like walking on clouds . I got the steel grey and the laces are more pink than red . I traded those in for the all black and now they look like diabetic/ platform shoes. Definitely not for looks and unfortunately ended up returning them. Back to Clifton 5

I bought the all black pair and when I tried on the shoes and showed my wife she asked if they were platform shoes! They seriously look like medical shoes with the sole being so thick. I have the Hoka Clifton 2, 3, & 4 shoes and they don't look like this. I can't speak to durability or comfort just to the style. My comfort rating was based off the Clifton's I own.I returned the shoes.

Amazing shoes. I read other reviews that said they run a bit narrow, so I ordered the narrow and they fit great. They are VERY cushioned and comfortable. The sole design generates a natural rocking as you walk. While these do not provide as much ankle stability as my other go to (Brooks Addiction) they provide great relief for my Mortons Neuroma!

They were fairly comfortable, and I like when solid black is offered so I can where them to work. The outer side on the right show blew out after 9 weeks, from the toe box back to where the heel pad of your foot starts. Never had that happen with any other brand I have owned certainly not for 150 bucks. Wife never got around to getting these returned so I cannot speak to how that would have gone. I am sure it would not have been a problem. just came back here to look at shoes, saw the old order and it reminded me to review them.

I've seen previous positive reviews on this shoe. And, many say it's the most comfortable shoe they have ever worn. In fact, the reviewers have been so excited about it, their comments actually turned me off. At least that was when the shoes first came out. My wife and I are huge Seinfeld fans and once I had them on she said she was going to call me "Jimmy." I agree, they have the look of someone with some sort of challenges, nevertheless, these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. And, in fact, when you put them on and walk, I wondered why everyone doesn't make shoes like this now? Why are they still making shoes as always? This shoe is built for comfort with a spongy feel and it rolls with your step almost propelling you forward to the next step. Normally a new pair of tennis shoes has to go for more formal events only i.e. going to the store, out for an informal dinner, basically where I'll see other humans. And, the new shoes never work until they've been replaced. Not with these, these have been put into full action. They are so comfortable, I'm wondering why I wouldn't wear them. I think the analogy would be when cell phones came out and became very popular and sooner or later everyone said, "why did we have phones tethered to a wall?" The look is the only reason this shoe technology hasn't exploded. Once you're past that orthopedic-type look, and you really want comfort, these are the shoes. When I say "past" I mean mature enough to appreciate comfort over looks, these shoes are the only thing you'll buy moving forward.

I have owned 2 pairs of the Bondi 5 models & love them, but when I bought the Bondi 6 I just couldn't believe how plush they are. I have several bone spurs & peripheral neuropathy making my feet very painful. Most shoes feel like walking on gravel bare foot. When I stumbled into the Hoka Bondi line it was just almost unbelievable! The Bondi 6 is even better for people with foot pain. My brother has none spurs & swears his Bondi 5 leather healed his feet. I just told him about the Bondi 6 & he plans to order a pair real soon! I can't thank Hoka enough for making these shoes!

The fit and size are right on. I have a medium foot and the width feels good to me - not too narrow or constricting. I've been wearing nothing but Asics gel Nimbus since 2014, but decided to try these after my girlfriend got a pair. Ran 7 miles on paved trails for my first run. They're great. My feet, and more importantly to me, my knees felt good afterwards. They really absorb a lot of the pounding. Love these shoes. Was so surprised they aren't super heavy for all that extra padding. 13 oz vs 12 for the Nimbus. Would definitely recommend these.

First, whatever size you wear go up half a size more. The width was perfect for me. These shoes are not cheap! However they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. Unfortunately with comfort you give up on longevity. This is my first pair of the Hoka One One Bondi 6. So time will tell how long they last.

The Hoka brand was recommended to me by an orthopedic surgeon. The ortho store suggested a women’s 12 W or a mens 11 D (both of which they did not have). I knew to go to Zappos, which had the mens. They are Perrrfect. The arch support is great (I have hi arch & instep). Feel like I’m in a substantial, extremely comfortable shoe. I can’t advise as to size, since I went with what I thought was a big enough size because of a broken bone & an arthritic toe.

First trying these on, they will absolutely feel like the cushiest sneakers you have ever worn but remarkably the body of the sneaker cradles your foot nicely and feels secure. I purchased these for walking after neck surgery stopped my running days and I found that my Brooks Ghost (my favorite running shoe) just wasn't the best walking shoe for me. So the Hoka's - they are very comfortable to walk in. However, after the first walk in them I started developing blisters on the side and just below the bottom of my right and left heels but kept walking in them thinking I needed to break them in. Well, I'm almost 3 months down the line and still getting blisters in the same exact spots. I really can't figure out the issue because there is absolutely no heel slip on either side. My foot certainly isn't narrow but I've never worn a wide shoe - at best, I have a very average foot that fits in most everything. I've tried different sock to no avail as well. The only thing I haven't tried are aftermarket inserts but at this point, I'd rather buy a new pair of sneakers then spend $30-$40 on a quality insert, especially after paying up for $150 Hoka's! Finally, I have found that the sole of the sneakers have pretty well worn after 3 months of about 4-6 miles of walking 6 days a week which I don't find very impressive given I could run my brooks for 6 months on that mileage before real wearing out. Long and short, I'd recommend a different sneaker. This is my first and last pair of Hoka's.

The extra room in the toe is nice but after 2 weeks of regular dog walks I realized they’re a bit large. I have to stop and pack my feet in toward the toe or else my Morton’s neuroma acts up. I’d exchange them for a smaller size because the cushion is great but I didn’t distinguish the added room in the toe area from the shoe being a size too large until after wearing them outside.

I have been wearing Bondi for 5 years or more I chose them because they are super soft and comfortable. I used to work at a running shop and have tried many different shoes nothing has compared to the softness of this shoe for years. I am over weight and trying to get back in shape and the Bondi have been the only shoes I have been able to go out and walk 4-5 miles in.
