Step 1: Clean the bag

Clean your leather or canvas bag and the torn-off fastener before gluing. This will ensure the best bond possible is achieved.

Step 2: Apply Bostik Fix & Glue

Apply the glue to the back of the fastener or other areas of the bag which may need repairing.

The glue will set in 5 seconds but won’t immediately stick your fingers together like other super glues can. Discover our guide to removing super glue from skin if this problem does occur for you.

Good to know

Bostik Fix & Glue will bond 99.9% of materials, so if you need to repair a plastic bag clasp, a leather belt strap or perhaps a worn handle, Fix & Glue has you covered.

Step 3: Reattach the bag fastener

Place and press the glued fastener onto the bag to create a secure bond between your leather bag or canvas bag and the fastener.

Step 4: Allow it to dry

Leave the fastener in position on the bag to dry for approximately one minute for an ultra-strong, long-lasting bond.

Step 5: The fastener is repaired and you're ready to go

Ta-da! You've repaired your leather bag or canvas bag clasp using super glue.

Bostik Fix & Glue is the perfect multipurpose super glue for repairing difficult materials such as fabric, canvas or leather. The glue is ultra-strong, will resist movement and is water resistant.

Plus, Fix & Glue also resists temperatures up to 80oC, meaning your repaired bag is still safe to put in the washing machine - providing it was in the first place.
