What is the best Slayer master for XP? ›

Duradel is generally the best Slayer master to use. Konar quo Maten should be used for every milestone task for the extra Slayer reward points.

All but two Slayer Masters have a Combat level requirement, and the final Slayer Master also has a Slayer level requirement. The tasks assigned are generally appropriate for the Combat level of the player, assuming they use the highest level Master available.

Alternatively, players without enough Slayer points to cancel a task can visit Turael in Taverley, who will give the player a new assignment if their current one is not assigned by Turael, or is not assigned in the numbers given (i.e. if Duradel has assigned 140+ kalphites, Turael will change it, as his kalphite ...

The best in slot melee gear is Torva, although you can get away with a Fighter Torso and Obsidian Plate Legs as a far cheaper option. On some Slayer tasks, you'll want to wear magic defensive gear. Masori is the best in slot, but Dragonhide does the trick.

Duradel is the hardest Slayer Master. To be assigned tasks from Duradel, players must have a Slayer level of at least 50, and a combat level of at least 100. Also, to be able to enter Shilo Village, where Duradel resides, players must have completed the Shilo Village quest.

Having a higher combat level also gives access to better Slayer masters, because the low-level Slayer masters have worse task lists and give fewer Slayer reward points than the higher-level ones. Alternatively, players may choose to train combat stats while in the process of training Slayer.

The player also receives a large amount of Combat XP per slayer boss completion dependent on the tier of slayer killed.

Overall, Slayer is a skill that is significantly faster if you have high combat stats. It's extremely slow at a low combat level, so I would suggest starting Slayer at a minimum of 70 combat.

Although Soul Reaper is a Slayer D&D, the usual bonuses from the slayer helmet do not work on Soul Reaper tasks, unless the player has a regular slayer assignment for the same monster.

How do you grind Slayer points? ›

There are several ways of obtaining Slayer points: completing Slayer assignments, Slayer challenges, completing contracts on the Arc assigned by Ling, handing in completed Tuska masks, and opening the raptor chest.

Laniakea. Lanikea is the highest level slayer master, giving even harder tasks than Morvran. These tasks consist of various popularly killed monsters assigned by Morvran. To be assigned monsters from Lanikea, players must have a Slayer level of at least 90, and a combat level of at least 120.

Slayers are missions which involve killing mobs of a specific type to spawn a strong boss, then slaying that boss. Defeating the bosses grants Slayer XP; leveling up in Slayer unlocks rarer and more valuable drops from the boss, and more powerful items to use against the boss, and eventually in general.
