On the weekend prior to Earth Day, members of the Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School (SCVTHS) Environmental Club pitched in to help remove trash from Peapack Creek in Peapack. The club was one of many groups participating in the 34th Annual Stream Cleanup sponsored by Raritan Headwaters. Over 1200 volunteers worked at 60 stream sites throughout the Upper Raritan Watershed region.

Agricultural Science students at Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School (SCVTHS) planted basswood and redbud trees on campus and in a local park. These trees are beneficial to pollinators and other wildlife.

A groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction on the $27 million expansion of Career and Technical Education (CTE) facilities and a new auxiliary gymnasium was held on March 27th at Somerset County Vocational & Technical Schools (SCVTS). The expansion of facilities and programs will allow SCVTS student enrollment to increase to over 1000 high school students from Somerset County and other nearby communities.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of New Jersey and Auxiliary, has named Ed Graf as its 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year for Grades 9-12. Mr. Graf teaches Social Studies at Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School (SCVTHS).

DCF's Children's System of Care (CSOC) provides all children and adolescents – regardless of insurance status - with coordinated access to mental health supports, substance use treatment and services for intellectual and developmental disabilities.The NJDOE has identified and recognized the Somerset County Voc-Tech School District as a High Performing School District as per the New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (NJQSAC). The District Performance Review has met the benchmark of 80% or great on the NJQSAC Continuum in all five of the following indicators:
- Instruction & Program; Fiscal Management; Governance; Operations; and Personnel
The SCVTS District will submit anequivalencywaiver request to demonstrate that SCVTS District has followed the NJQSAC process and meets all code requirements.
