I had gone to a podiatrist at Baylor for a problem I already knew I had which was plantar fisciitis. All she recommended was physical therapy and nothing else after that. With a new baby and working full time, it’s hard to make time for extra stuff.So I kept searching and decided to try Dr. Legel and I’m SOOO happy I did. He prescribed me medication which helped along with some stretches and other things that I needed to do. He explained what we would try next if the pain was still there. I did the things he recommended and it helped a lot. I like and really appreciate that there’s a plan in place to treat the issue I have, if it continues.The office is always very nice and polite. Never rude or annoyed when asked questions (like other places) so thank you!

The office was quick about getting me on as leaving my information on there website. Monday got seen for my ingrown, that I was with about a week. Upon arrival the front desk was very nice as well as the nurses and staff. Everyone was informative and helpful. In the room Dr.Legel checked and explained the process of the ingrown and decided to proceed with removal. They made the process easy going and comfortable. 100% recommended great calming atmosphere Dr. and staff just make you feel welcome!

I haven’t had a diabetic podiatrist since the Pandemic, at the same time, I also lost Medicaid coverage. My diabetic feet were neglected for several years but I was eventually put on Medicare. I went shopping for a diabetic-oriented Podiatrist to resolve my suffering and neglected feet. After doing some online research to find a podiatrist, I chose Dr. Legel based on the online reviews. I became his patient and am please with my choice.-He’s knowledgeable, listens to your concerns, pays attention to detail and proactive about resolving problems. The staff is friendly and helpful. I also like the electronic notifications and check-in for appointments; and an electronic summary of your visit. They are very up-to-date on technology. I got some age on me, and I forget sometimes.-He goes above and beyond the call of duty. He prescribed me my first diabetic shoes with custom inserts. I even had a big blister on my leg that burst. He was more responsive than my Dr. at a Parkland Community Center. He educates me on how to assist the healing of any of my conditions. I am happy and I think you will be happy to.

I was certain that I was going to need surgery to correct a problem. Dr. Legal suggests a toe spacer and it worked! A little uncomfortable at first, but it realigned my toes. I wear it in closed toed shoes, and don’t need it when I wear sandals.

It was a relief to find Dr. Kennedy and his staff at Advanced Foot & Ankle Care Specialists. I had been to another practice for the same issue (Plantar Fasciitis) and was not getting any results or much hope. I was told repeatedly by the other practice that there was nothing they could do for me because there aren't any treatment options for Plantar Fasciitis, except for stretching at home. This went on for two years. Dr. Kennedy and his staff have proven to be genuinely caring, careful to evaluate, and eager to help with medical treatment and education for at home care. My symptoms are finally starting to improve. I look forward to future visits as each one has been marked with significant progress.

I had a insanely bad ingrown toenail, air seemed to hurt it, so I dreaded going, not to mention the horrible stories I would hear. Finally I went and frankly it was embarrassingly painless, after a quick pinch on my toe I felt nothing! It was wonderful! I even had to have the other side of my same toe worked on later and was just as good of a experience. Not even too expensive without insurance at the time.

Walking around with nasty toenail fungus infection & ingrown toenails for years, i was finally fed up.Understanding that the nails needed to be pulled to most effectively address the issue was not exactly something I was looking forward to.That said, I had reached my threshold of acceptability, and the embarrassing toenails had to go.The story takes a dramatic turn for the better the moment I sat in Dr. Legals chair. A couple of pinpricks and pleasant conversation later(while he is smoothly working) and it was over and done!I was chatterboxed the poor man, and he obliged to help me get through! Bless his heart ❤️Cant say enough about that.As for recovery, it’s surprisingly not bad. As long as you don’t go out kicking soccer balls, or accidentally nap the corner of your bed post, the pain level is minimal & manageable. Far less than I imagined.Bottom line:If you have something wrong with your feet, stop putting it off. You are enduring more pain in the condition you are in (or at least I was)With Dr Legal, “your feet are in the best hands”

I had excruciating pain on the side of my foot. I over did it on the treadmill and I felt something like when a rubberband busts. I was new to the area and searched for someone close to me. I consider myself very lucky to have found Dr.Legel! He listened and explained thoroughly what steps were needed. His staff made me feel comfortable and were courteous. My appointments always go smoothly and efficiently, with all of my questions answered thoroughly, and if I forget to ask something, there's always the online patient portal, which they answer punctually. They're also great with handling the insurance end of things. My recent left foot bunionectomy and joint release/corrections also went very smoothly, as did my recovery and follow-up. Would definitely recommend this facility for anyone with a foot issue that needs podiatry follow-up or referral.

I had an unexpected toe injury and my PCP referred me to this office. After speaking with Jay and considering the pain that I was in, he made the paperwork and office visit so easy. I've been going to see Dr. Legel on and off for about 5 years now. I started when the old office was off of Turtle Creek. I wish all doctor visits where as great as seeing Dr. Legel. He is obviously very knowledgeable, and is amazing at explaining the issue and treatment options. He has a professional yet laid back demeanor that has always put me at ease. The staff especially Jay are also exceptional. They are all helpful and very kind. This morning I had my first appointment with Dr. Legel, and he was exactly the type of doctor I was hoping for. He was direct, patient, thorough, and very matter-of-fact with the examination process and all of the explanations he gave. Basically, bedside manner and knowledge were both topnotch. His schedule was pretty booked up, so I had to get in touch every few days to check for cancellations to try and get in to see him sooner. Even though I had to wait a while to see him, it was totally and completely worth it. Meeting with Dr. Legel has been the best decision I have made for treatment so far. He's conservative in his approach and I have a lot of confidence in everything he told me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed having my feet treated here. Dr. Legel is very thorough, tells you things in a way that are simple to understand and what to do better. My foot issues have improved dramatically after suffering for 10+ years. He never makes you feel rushed either with your concerns which is something that I appreciate.

I have been having pain in my right ankle for about 6 to 7 years now and I been to a lot of Dr and the could not figure out what was wrong with me and I wet to advance foot &ankle and he showed my xray and told me that I had spers in my foot that didn't let me move my foot up and down and all the dr I have been to said that I was fine just to rest it but now I know what is wrong and the staff was a amassing

WONDERFUL!!!! Dr Legel saved my husband!!!! We live in a small Northeast Texas area . Long story short (kinda), my husband was supposed to have hammer toe correction. The recovery time was supposed to last 3-4 weeks. TRY 4 MONTHS!!!!!!! The local doctor keep my husband in a cast for two weeks. He was in SOOOOOO MUCH PAIN!! OMG!! The doctor said he wasn't supposed to be in much pain after the surgery. He was in constant PAIN!! After he took his cast off, his toes looked horrible!! The second toe had a pin in it, and he had the hardest time taking it out. We left there and my husband was still in excruciating pain almost daily. I would call the nurse and she said, " I don't know why he's pain. I'll call out for more medicine." They didn't want to give anymore due to people abuse prescriptions. After removing the cast, the doctor said he didn't know what was going on because his skin was peeling off of it!! Freaked us out!!! He said it could be due to his foot fungus. After the 3rd week, my husband was so much pain that I called the doctor to come back in before a the weekend. He toe was turning black, and the doctor said, " It doesn't look like gangrene and it didn't look infected." OMG! I was thinking. Something is wrong!! His skin is peeling off and his toe was turning black. I was crying every night scared of the uncertainty of my husbands foot. I couldn't bare him being in pain anymore. His toes were starting to scare me, and I was afraid infection was spreading. My husband is only 35 and this was going out of control! We left the doctor for lunch and I Googled the best foot doctors in Dallas, Texas. Dallas is about 2.5 hours away from where we live. Dr. Legel's name was one of the top 5. I liked his picture and read the reviews. :-) I called Thursday, and the nice guy on the phone (I forgot his name) said we don't usually take new patients on Friday after noon, but you seem like you need help. I started crying. I was so grateful!!! And began THANK GOD!!!OMG!!! They were WONDERFUL!! From the sweet ladies that bandaged my husband, the two guy receptionist and MOST OF ALL, J!!! Jay IS WWWOOONNNDDEERRRFFFUULLL!! and DR. LEGEL IS AAAAMMMAAAZZZIIINNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!! He ordered so many test that weren't performed on my husband before or after my husbands surgery. After looking at my husband's foot, Dr. Legel said, " There is nothing normal about your foot, and if I was your doctor I wouldn't have sent you home." He didn't bash our doctor, but he was HONEST and very PROFESSIONAL from the beginning. He said, " I'm a realist and I'll do whatever I can to save your toe . But looking at it you might lose it." Well my husband lost his toe and was okay with it. He had been in so much pain. He had a bone infection and his circulation was low in his foot. Dr. Legel and his team took care of my husband. I was so scared and GOD blessed us with a WONDERFUL DOCTOR and AWESOME STAFF!!J. made sure my husband's medication overnight-ed, and he set up home healthcare to take care of his wounds. He would call often to check on him. I would recommend DR. LEGEL to ANYONE!!! ANYWHERE!!! Thank you Dr. LEGEL and STAFF for EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!We were blessed to have met you and your staff!! I would RECOMMEND you to ANYONE in the WORLD!!! AMAZING!!I added a pic of J. I hope he doesn't get to upset. LOL!! I thought my phone was on camera mode, but oh well!! Love ya, J! Dr.Legel office is excellent from the time you walk in to the time you leave the staff is extremely caring. I couldn’t have picked a better place to go leticia(letty) as she told me to call her was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. Dr.Legel was great he knew exactly what was causing my problem and was able to get me squared away and on my way in no time the whole staff was laughing and engaging with the other patients it was truly a great atmosphere.

I went to an urgent care place for bad heel pain a few days ago. Today, I noticed my pain was getting worse since my urgent care visit so I was desperate to find an actual podiatrist that could see me same day. I called several offices and got the same disappointing response. “We are full today, we can squeeze you in next week.” I did not wanna go thru this kinda pain without being sure what was really causing it so I decided to call one more office, and that’s how I found Advanced foot and ankle. I explained to the receptionist what was going on, and from the start he seemed genuine in wanting to get me into the office immediately this afternoon. They took better x-rays than urgent care did and discovered I actually had a small fracture. Dr. Legel was very nice and went over the x-rays and sent me home with more knowledge on how to take care of this and heal it. The entire staff was awesome and I’m so glad I discovered them today!

I had the worst case of plantar fasciitis in both my feet for 2 years. Debilitating pain...I couldn't walk or do simple tasks without crying and no one was listening to me. One doctor told me it was my lumbar spine and couldn't do anything for me. I had been to 3 other doctors before I found Dr. Legel. He was the only doctor in those 2 years that truly listened... took the time to listen and helped solve the issues. I can walk now tear free and without a cane! I don't know what I would've done without his care and direction. I highly recommend Dr. Legel and his staff.

I have found almost immediate relief for the plantar fasciitis pain that had been troubling me for close to a year. I am so grateful to Dr. Legel and his team for taking such great care of me during my initial visit and properly explaining the steps and exercises necessary to alleviate the pain and discomfort that had me limping in agony. It hasn't even been a full week since my visit and my symptoms are almost gone. The progress has truly been extraordinary. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my symptoms and for the detailed explanations, and professional and kind demeanor.
