What GPA do you need to rush a sorority at Penn State? ›

Interested new members must meet the following Penn State University's requirements to join a fraternity or sorority: Must have earned 14 PSU credit hours AND a 2.5 cumulative GPA OR transfer students must have 27 transfer credit hours; and.

There are two main ways for ranking sororities by size. You can look at their overall membership or their number of chapters active on college campuses. The largest sorority by membership is Chi Omega, also called “Chi O,” and the largest sorority by active chapters is Alpha Omicron Pi, or “A O Pi” for short.

Pi Phi is known to be the top house.

On the superficial level, top-tier sororities have members who are considered conventionally beautiful, wealthy, and socially active on campus.

The goal is to have an overall chapter GPA of a 3.0 or higher; Fraternities and Sororities take pride in the academic advancements of their members, so the minimal GPA most will take is a 2.5.

Are there any GPA or credit requirements to join a sorority? Yes, in order to go through the recruitment process you must obtain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and have completed at least 14 credits at a Penn State campus. AP and high school credits do not count.

What is the reputation of ADPi sorority? ›

ADPi is a solid mid tier house at USC. They have a nice and large house on the row and are made up of sweet girls. The girls here are extremely smart and down to earth, but aren't always the most attractive. They battle closely with theta for the highest GPA on the row, but are not nearly as social.

The matching process is called mutual selection. Panhellenic will use your vote and the scores provided by the sororities to create a rush-week itinerary for you. This schedule is meant to provide you with the best chances of getting invited into a sorority that is right for you.

Girls were chosen based on their looks as much as their personality, and were not allowed to wear the sorority's branding or colors unless they were "presentable." Photo shoots would include the most attractive girls, while "less attractive" members would be given the low-tier jobs at events.

Recruitment (formerly known as “rush”) is the primary membership intake process for sororities. Primary Recruitment is an event held each Spring when all of the Panhellenic sororities come together to meet potential new members in a structured fashion. You must be registered to participate in Primary Recruitment.

Every sorority chapter has different GPA requirements for new members. You are allowed to register for the recruitment process regardless of your GPA because the College Panhellenics coordinating recruitment do not set a minimum GPA for potential new members per the NPC Unanimous Agreements.

Scholars admitted to the Schreyer Honors College as first-year students must: Enroll in and pass, with a grade of C or higher, ENGL/CAS 137H/138T during your first two semesters. Maintain a semester and cumulative GPA of at least 3.40.
